Free continuing education in AAC!
This week, Coughdrop (a wonderful AAC app made by the wonderful AAC dad, Brian Whitmer) is hosting its annual online conference - AAC in the Cloud. It's a FREE, online, 2-day conference with a variety of presenters in the field of AAC, including Rachael Langley, Bill Binko from ATMakers.org, Amanda Hartmann, Rachel Madel, among others. You really can't ask for a better group of people!
So... what's the schedule like?
You can check out the official schedule on the website, but I've listed the courses below. On Tuesday, there are presentations from 11:30 am ET - 7 pm. There are three tracks throughout the conference, meaning that there are 3 different presentations going on at a time. I'll be presenting on Track 1 at 2pm (Executive Functioning and AAC: Amanda M.L. Samperi).
Wednesday kicks off with a keynote presentation by Dana Neider from Uncommon Sense blog. For those of you that don't know her, she is an AAC mom, SLP, and fierce advocate. I'm so excited to hear her speak!
If it's online, how can you connect with people?
The conference uses Slack, which is an app that allows you to chat with others attending the same course. Additionally, there's chat rooms within the app for the whole conference. There's going to be chat groups at the end of each session as well. Check it out here.
How can I get credit for attending this conference?
The conference counts for continuing maintenance hours for ASHA licensure. For more information, please see the conference website.
Will you be there?
Don't forget to connect with me! I'll be attending the conference throughout the two days, and I will be presenting on Tuesday at 2pm on Executive Functioning and AAC. Click here to access the schedule, find my name under Track 1, and click the name to access the course.
Also you can find me on the Slack channels - @AACiswhereitsAT
Free, fun, AAC. Mark your calendar!
Bottom line: who wouldn't want the chance for FREE CMH with fabulous presenters? Join me tomorrow at 2pm... you won't be disappointed!
I'll be seeing you at the conference...
